Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-204","heading":"Seizure and condemnation","body":"(a) Any carcass, part of a carcass, meat or meat food product of\n\ncattle, bison, sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules or other equines,\n\nor any dead, dying, disabled, or diseased cattle, bison, sheep,\n\nswine, goat, or equine, that is being transported in intrastate\n\ncommerce, or is held for sale in this state after such\n\ntransportation, and that (1) is or has been prepared, sold,\n\ntransported, or otherwise distributed or offered or received for\n\ndistribution in violation of this act, or (2) is capable of use as\n\nhuman food and is adulterated or misbranded, or (3) in any other way\n\nis in violation of this act, shall be liable to be proceeded against\n\nand seized and condemned, at any time, on an information filed in\n\nany proper court as provided in Section 6-205 of this title within\n\nthe jurisdiction of which the article or animal is found. If the\n\narticle or animal is condemned it shall, after entry of the decree,\n\nbe disposed of by destruction or sale as the court may direct and\n\nthe proceeds, if sold, less the court costs and fees, and storage\n\nand other proper expenses, shall be paid into the treasury of this\n\nstate, but the article or animal shall not be sold contrary to the\n\nprovisions of this act, or the Federal Meat Inspection Act or the\n\nFederal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, provided, that upon the\n\nexecution and delivery of a good and sufficient bond conditioned\n\nthat the article or animal shall not be sold or otherwise disposed\n\nof contrary to the provisions of this act, or the laws of the United\n\nStates, the court may direct that such article or animal be\n\ndelivered to the owner thereof subject to such supervision by\n\nauthorized representatives of the Board as is necessary to ensure\n\ncompliance with the applicable laws. When a decree of condemnation\n\nis entered against the article or animal and it is released under\n\nbond, or destroyed, court costs and fees, and storage and other\n\nproper expenses shall be awarded against the person, if any,\n\nintervening as claimant of the article or animal.
