Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-207","heading":"Violations and penalties","body":"(a) Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provision\n\nof the Oklahoma Meat Inspection Act for which no other criminal\n\npenalty is provided by this act shall upon conviction be subject to\n\nimprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or a fine of not more\n\nthan One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or both such imprisonment and\n\nfine; but if such violation involves intent to defraud, or any\n\ndistribution or attempted distribution of an article that is\n\nadulterated (except as defined in subparagraph (8) of paragraph (j)\n\nof Section 6-182 of this title), such person, firm, or corporation\n\nshall be guilty of a Class D3 felony offense and shall be subject to\n\nimprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section\n\n20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, or a fine of not more than\n\nTen Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), or both; provided, that no\n\nperson, firm, or corporation shall be subject to penalties under\n\nthis section for receiving for transportation any article or animal\n\nin violation of this act if such receipt was made in good faith,\n\nunless such person, firm, or corporation refuses to furnish on\n\nrequest of a representative of the Board the name and address of the\n\nperson from whom he received such article or animal, and copies of\n\nall documents, if any there be, pertaining to the delivery of the\n\narticle or animal to him.\n\n(b) Nothing in this act shall be construed as requiring the\n\nBoard to report for prosecution, or for the institution of legal\n\naction or injunction proceedings, minor violations of this act\n\nwhenever it believes that the public interest will be adequately\n\nserved by a suitable written notice of warning.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5de3049c51d25f0dd50f04d6323d5499d3031f427be6bc5fdae363b9ff0f252c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-206","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
