Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-261","heading":"Products not intended for use as human food - Records -","body":"Brokers, renderers or manufacturers - Dead or diseased poultry.\n\nA. Inspection shall not be provided under this act at any\n\nestablishment for the slaughter of poultry or the processing of any\n\ncarcasses or parts or products of poultry, which are not intended\n\nfor use as human food, but such articles shall, prior to their offer\n\nfor sale or transportation in intrastate commerce, be denatured or\n\notherwise identified as prescribed by regulations of the Board to\n\ndeter their use for human food. No person shall buy, sell,\n\ntransport, or offer for sale or transportation, or receive for\n\ntransportation, in intrastate commerce, any poultry carcasses or\n\nparts or products thereof which are not intended for use as human\n\nfood unless they are denatured or otherwise identified as required\n\nby the regulations of the Board or naturally inedible by humans.\n\nB. The following classes of persons shall, for such period of\n\ntime as the Board may by regulations prescribe, not to exceed two\n\n(2) years unless otherwise directed by the Board for good cause\n\nshown, keep such records as are properly necessary for the effective\n\nenforcement of this act in order to insure against adulterated or\n\nmisbranded poultry products for the American consumer; and all\n\npersons subject to such requirements shall, at all reasonable times,\n\nupon notice by a duly authorized representative of the Board, afford\n\nsuch representative access to their places of business and\n\nopportunity to examine the facilities, inventory, and records\n\nthereof, to copy all such records, and to take reasonable samples of\n\ntheir inventory upon payment of the fair market value therefor:\n\n1. Any person that engages in the business of slaughtering any\n\npoultry or processing, freezing, packaging, or labeling any\n\ncarcasses, or parts or products of carcasses, of any poultry, for\n\nintrastate commerce, for use as human food or animal food;\n\n2. Any person that engages in the business of buying or\n\nselling, as poultry products brokers, wholesalers, or otherwise, or\n\ntransporting, in intrastate commerce, or storing in or for\n\nintrastate commerce, any carcasses, or parts or products of\n\ncarcasses, of any poultry;\n\n3. Any person that engages in business, in or for intrastate\n\ncommerce, as a renderer, or engages in the business of buying,\n\nselling, or transporting, in intrastate commerce, any dead, dying,\n\ndisabled, or diseased poultry or parts of the carcasses of any\n\npoultry that died otherwise than by slaughter.\n\nC. No person shall engage in business, in or for intrastate\n\ncommerce, as a poultry products broker, renderer, or animal food\n\nmanufacturer, or engage in business in intrastate commerce as a\n\nwholesaler of any carcasses, or parts or products of the carcasses,\n\nof any poultry, whether intended for human food or other purposes,\n\nor engage in business as a public warehouseman storing any such\n\narticles in or for intrastate commerce, or engage in the business of\n\nbuying, selling, or transporting in intrastate commerce any dead,\n\ndying, disabled, or diseased poultry, or parts of the carcasses of\n\nany poultry that died otherwise than by slaughter, unless, when\n\nrequired by regulations of the Board, he has registered with the\n\nBoard his name and the address of each place of business at which,\n\nand all trade names under which, he conducts such business.\n\nD. No person engaged in the business of buying, selling, or\n\ntransporting in intrastate commerce, dead, dying, disabled or\n\ndiseased poultry, or any parts of the carcasses of any poultry that\n\ndies otherwise than by slaughter, shall buy, sell, transport, offer\n\nfor sale or transportation, or receive for transportation in\n\nintrastate commerce, any dead, dying, disabled, or diseased poultry\n\nor parts of the carcasses of any poultry that died otherwise than by\n\nslaughter, unless such transaction or transportation is made in\n\naccordance with such regulations as the Board may prescribe to\nt\n\ndies otherwise than by slaughter, shall buy, sell, transport, offer\n\nfor sale or transportation, or receive for transportation in\n\nintrastate commerce, any dead, dying, disabled, or diseased poultry\n\nor parts of the carcasses of any poultry that died otherwise than by\n\nslaughter, unless such transaction or transportation is made in\n\naccordance with such regulations as the Board may prescribe to\n\nassure that such poultry, or the unwholesome parts or products\n\nthereof, will be prevented from being used for human food.\n\nE.
