Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-280.4","heading":"Board - Powers and duties","body":"In addition to any powers and duties of the Board, the Board\n\nshall have the power and duty to:\n\n1. adopt and promulgate regulations necessary to provide for\n\nthe proper inspection of rabbit and rabbit products, and prescribe\n\nconditions under which carcasses, parts of carcasses, rabbit meat\n\nand rabbit products capable of use as human food, shall be stored,\n\nlabeled, marked or otherwise handled by any person engaged in the\n\nbusiness of buying, selling, freezing, storing, or transporting, in\n\nor for intrastate commerce;\n\n2. cooperate with the Secretary of Agriculture of the United\n\nStates in effectuating the purposes of the Oklahoma Rabbit and\n\nRabbit Products Inspection Act;\n\n3. appoint inspectors to make examination and inspection of\n\nrabbits, rabbit carcasses, all rabbit meat and rabbit products, and\n\nthe sanitary conditions of all plants or establishments in which\n\nrabbit meat and rabbit products are prepared;\n\n4. detain and seize rabbits or rabbit carcasses or rabbit\n\nproducts pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Rabbit and\n\nRabbit Products Inspection Act;\n\n5. require reports from all persons subject to the provisions\n\nof the Oklahoma Rabbit and Rabbit Products Inspection Act;\n\n6. suspend inspection service pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Rabbit and Rabbit Products Inspection Act;\n\n7. establish and enforce administrative penalties pursuant to\n\nSection 11-1 of Title 2 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n8. enter upon any public or private property for purposes of\n\ninspecting and investigating compliance with the Oklahoma Rabbit and\n\nRabbit Products Inspection Act;\n\n9. refuse to render inspection services to any establishment\n\nwhose premises, facilities, or equipment, or the operation thereof,\n\nfail to meet the requirements of the Oklahoma Rabbit and Rabbit\n\nProducts Inspection Act;\n\n10. institute or cause to be instituted any necessary legal\n\nproceedings with the Office of the Attorney General or in any court\n\nof competent jurisdiction for an injunction relief to enforce the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Rabbit and Rabbit Products Inspection\n\nAct; and\n\n11. exercise all incidental powers which are necessary and\n\nproper to perform the duties of the Board pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nRabbit and Rabbit Products Inspection Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"339fad78c44880e871b8b7275497c37846f0d81d49888a8dc41b1891decb2a1c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-280.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-280.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
