The State Veterinarian may determine that any livestock is\n\ninfected with or has been exposed to any disease posing a threat to\n\nthe livestock population of the state.\n\nB. The State Veterinarian may cause the livestock to be\n\ndestroyed or disposed of in a manner designed to protect the health\n\nof other livestock. Destroyed or disposed of livestock shall be\n\nappraised by an individual selected by the State Veterinarian and\n\nthe owner of the livestock.
