To enable the State Board of Agriculture to implement its\n\nduties and responsibilities regarding disease eradication and\n\ncontrol of livestock and theft of livestock, and of farming\n\nequipment and farm implements, authorized agents of the Board are\n\nauthorized to stop a vehicle transporting any livestock or farming\n\nequipment or farm implement for the purposes of inspecting and\n\nexamining:\n\n1. Livestock being transported;\n\n2. The documents relating to the health, ownership, or\n\ndestination of the livestock; and\n\n3. Ownership documents or serial or identification numbers\n\nrelating to farming equipment or farm implements.\n\nB. 1. Agents of the Board are authorized to issue citations to\n\nthose persons committing violations of the laws relating to the\n\ncontrol and eradication of disease in livestock in this state.\n\n2. Each violation relating to the transportation of livestock,\n\nand any required documentation regarding disease eradication and\n\ncontrol of livestock being transported may result in a citation not\n\nto exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per incident. Each\n\ncitation issued shall indicate the name of the owner of the\n\nlivestock being transported, as well as the name of the driver of\n\nthe vehicle.\n\n3. If an owner or driver receives three citations for\n\nviolations of this subsection within a consecutive three-year\n\nperiod, the owner or driver may be subject to citations not to\n\nexceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for any subsequent\n\nviolations of this subsection.\n\nC.
