The Commissioner of the State Board of Agriculture may\n\ncommission, subject to the approval of the Board, agriculture law\n\nenforcement agents.\n\nB. Agriculture law enforcement agents, when commissioned,\n\nshall:\n\n1. Have all the powers of peace officers except the serving or\n\nexecution of civil process other than the execution of civil process\n\nrelated to the Oklahoma Agricultural Code;\n\n2. Have in all parts of the state the same powers with respect\n\nto criminal matters and enforcement of the laws relating thereto as\n\nsheriffs, highway patrol, and police officers in their respective\n\njurisdictions;\n\n3. Enforce the civil, criminal, and administrative provisions\n\nrelating to livestock theft, animal health and importation statutes\n\nand theft of farming equipment and farm implements, as well as any\n\nother law contained in the Oklahoma Agricultural Code;\n\n4. Possess all immunities and matters of defense now available\n\nor hereafter made available to sheriffs, highway patrol and police\n\nofficers in any suit brought against them in consequence of acts\n\ndone in the course of their employment; and\n\n5. Comply with the provisions of Section 3311 of Title 70 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nC. Agriculture law enforcement agents specifically:\n\n1. Are vested with the power and authority of sheriffs in\n\nmaking arrests for violations of the Oklahoma Agricultural Code and\n\nin the enforcement of nonagriculture-related crimes in cooperation\n\nwith other law enforcement officers and agencies as authorized by\n\nthe Board and approved by the Governor of the State of Oklahoma;\n\n2. May take into possession any farming equipment or farm\n\nimplement and any and all livestock, or any part thereof, killed,\n\ntaken, shipped or had in possession contrary to the law. Such\n\nlivestock or parts thereof may be disposed of as determined by the\n\nCommissioner or any court of competent jurisdiction;\n\n3. May make a complaint and cause proceedings to be commenced\n\nagainst any person for violation of any of the laws relating to the\n\nOklahoma Agricultural Code or relating to theft of livestock and of\n\nfarming equipment or farm implements, with the sanction of the\n\nprosecuting or district attorney of the county in which the\n\nproceedings are brought, and shall not be required to give security\n\nfor costs;\n\n4. In connection with the enforcement of the civil, criminal,\n\nand administrative provisions, shall have the express authority to\n\nstop the transportation or movement of any animal or farming\n\nequipment or farm implement within this state and shall have the\n\nright to enter upon all premises, posted, or otherwise, when\n\nnecessary for enforcement of the laws of this state;\n\n5. Shall be under the control and direction of the\n\nCommissioner. The Commissioner may, at any time, remove any powers\n\nor authority of arrest conferred by the Commissioner; and\n\n6.
