Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-603","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Feral Swine Control Act:\n\n1. \"Daylight\" means the period of time beginning when the sun\n\nrises and ending when the sun sets;\n\n2. \"Feral swine\" means any domestic or wild animal of the\n\nspecies Sus scrofa that are or have been running at large, free\n\nroaming, or wild upon public or private lands, or have been\n\ncaptured, hunted, pursued, maintained, utilized, or released for any\n\nsporting purposes;\n\n3. \"Owner\" means any person with title to the real property or\n\na person that has obtained a right to the possession and use of a\n\ncertain space, property, or subsurface right for a definite period\n\nof time through a contractual lease. In the event a person is\n\npermitted to come upon the real property to perform some specific\n\nact including, but not limited to, hunting, removing feral swine, or\n\nfishing, that person has no \"lease\" but only a \"license\" to do that\n\nact;\n\n4. \"Remove\" means to change the location of, eliminate, or\n\nattempt to eliminate feral swine by a variety of methods including,\n\nbut not limited to, hunting, killing, taking, trapping, and\n\ncatching; and\n\n5. \"Judas pig tagging system\" means a population control\n\ntechnique where a radio-collared feral swine is released into a\n\ncontrol area and, after a sufficient period to allow it to join\n\nother feral swine, it is tracked down and all swine associated with\n\nthe collared swine are removed.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"de935e1eeb93fb473e29823d30faff312a8aaf032bac38baa522fc20b3ba3ef0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-602","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
