Stat. tit. 2, § 2-7-403","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act:\n\n1. \"Bulk milk hauler/sampler\" means any person collecting\n\nofficial samples who may transport raw milk from a farm or raw milk\n\nproducts to or from a milk plant, receiving station, or transfer\n\nstation and has in his or her possession a permit from any state to\n\nsample these products;\n\n2. \"Dairy farm\" means any premises owned or operated by a \"milk\n\nproducer\" where one or more cows or goats are kept, and from which a\n\npart or all of the milk or milk products is sold or offered for\n\nsale;\n\n3. \"Goat milk\" means the lacteal secretion, practically free\n\nfrom colostrum, obtained by the complete milking of one or more\n\nhealthy goats;\n\n4. \"Grade A milk and milk products\" means milk and milk\n\nproducts at any stage from production through pasteurization and\n\npackaging, that are of the minimum quality and are produced, hauled,\n\nprocessed and distributed under conditions which meet the\n\nrequirements of the Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act;\n\n5. \"Inhibitor\" means any chemical or antibiotic substance which\n\ninhibits or retards the growth of bacteria in milk;\n\n6. \"Milk\" means the lacteal secretion, practically free from\n\ncolostrum, obtained by the complete milking of one or more healthy\n\ncows, which contains not less than eight and one-fourth percent (8\n\n1/4%) milk solids-not-fat and not less than three and one-fourth\n\npercent (3 1/4%) milk fat. The term \"milk\" shall include goat milk,\n\nfluid market milk, and milk products for the purpose of distribution\n\nto the consumer, and may contain optional ingredients defined by the\n\nState Board of Agriculture and shall include ungraded and Grade A\n\nmilk;\n\n7. \"Milk contact surface\" means any pipe, tank, equipment, or\n\nfacility which contacts or may contact milk during the producing,\n\ntransporting, processing, or distributing of milk and milk products;\n\n8. \"Milk distribution center\" means any premises, owned or\n\noperated by a \"milk distributor\", which distributes and sells or\n\noffers to sell milk and milk products but does not include an\n\nestablishment which sells or offers to sell Grade A milk and milk\n\nproducts at retail;\n\n9. \"Milk facility\" means the producing, processing,\n\ntransporting, or distributing premises and facilities which operate\n\nunder an appropriate and valid permit issued by the Commissioner, in\n\ncompliance with the Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act and the\n\nrules of the Board;\n\n10. \"Milk fat\" or \"butter fat\" means the fat of milk;\n\n11. \"Milk plant\" means any premises owned or operated by a\n\n\"milk processor\" where milk or milk products are collected,\n\nmanufactured, processed, pasteurized, bottled, stored, or prepared\n\nfor distribution for commercial purposes including, but not limited\n\nto, a receiving or transfer station;\n\n12. \"Milk products\" means those products produced or obtained\n\nfrom milk or any component or product of milk and defined by the\n\nBoard, including Grade A milk products, ungraded raw milk and\n\nungraded milk products;\n\n13. \"Milk tank truck cleaning facility\" means any premises or\n\nestablishment, separate from a milk plant, receiving station, or\n\ntransfer station, where a milk tank truck is cleaned and sanitized;\n\n14. \"Milk tank truck driver\" means any person transporting raw\n\nor pasteurized milk products between a milk plant, receiving\n\nstation, or transfer station;\n\n15. \"Milk transportation company\" means any person responsible\n\nfor a milk tank truck;\n\n16. \"Pasteurized milk\" means Grade A raw milk which has been\n\npasteurized and stored in accordance with the chemical,\n\nbacteriological, and temperature standards required by the Board;\n\n17. \"Receiving station\" means any premises where raw milk is\n\nreceived, collected, handled, stored, or cooled and prepared for\n\nfurther transporting;\n\n18. \"Retail food store\" means any establishment which offers\n\nfor retail sale packaged or bulk food goods for human consumption;\nteurized and stored in accordance with the chemical,\n\nbacteriological, and temperature standards required by the Board;\n\n17. \"Receiving station\" means any premises where raw milk is\n\nreceived, collected, handled, stored, or cooled and prepared for\n\nfurther transporting;\n\n18. \"Retail food store\" means any establishment which offers\n\nfor retail sale packaged or bulk food goods for human consumption;\n\n19. \"Transfer station\" means any establishment or premises\n\nwhere milk or milk products are transferred directly from one milk\n\ntank truck to another; and\n\n20. \"Ungraded milk products\" and \"manufacture grade milk\n\nproducts\" include, but are not limited to, butter, cheese, dry milk,\n\ncondensed milk, filled or evaporated milk, frozen dairy dessert and\n\nmello-drink products.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"88dffbef9f528b164184da6b576c11911408757df3d60c89c6221897b2bdc7b8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-7-402","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-7-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
