Stat. tit. 2, § 2-8-41.5","heading":"Feed labels","body":"A commercial feed shall be labeled as follows:\n\n1. A commercial feed, except a customer-formula feed, shall be\n\naccompanied by a label bearing the following information:\n\na. net contents statement (weight or volume),\n\nb. the product name and the brand name, if any, under\n\nwhich the commercial feed is distributed,\n\nc. the guaranteed analysis stated in such terms as the\n\nState Board of Agriculture by rules determines is\n\nrequired to advise the user of the composition of the\n\nfeed or to support claims made in the labeling. In\n\nall cases the substances or elements must be\n\ndeterminable by laboratory methods such as the methods\n\npublished by the Association of Official Analytical\n\nChemists International,\n\nd. the official, common, or usual name of each ingredient\n\nused in the manufacture of the commercial feed. The\n\nBoard by rule may permit the use of a collective term\n\nfor a group of ingredients which perform a similar\n\nfunction, or they may exempt commercial feeds, or any\n\ngroup, from this requirement of an ingredient\n\nstatement if they find that the statement is not\n\nrequired in the interest of consumers,\n\ne. the name and principal mailing address of the\n\nmanufacturer or the person responsible for\n\ndistributing the commercial feed,\n\nf. adequate directions for use for all commercial feeds\n\ncontaining drugs and for other feeds as the Board may\n\nrequire for their safe and effective use, and\n\ng. precautionary statements the Board determines are\n\nnecessary for the safe and effective use of the\n\ncommercial feed;\n\n2. Label format shall comply with applicable state and/or\n\nfederal packaging and labeling regulations; and\n\n3. A customer-formula feed shall be accompanied by a label,\n\ninvoice, delivery slip, or other shipping document, bearing the\n\nfollowing information:\n\na. name and address of the manufacturer,\n\nb. name and address of the purchaser,\n\nc. date of delivery,\n\nd. the product name and brand name, if any, the net\n\nweight of each commercial feed used in the mixture,\n\nand the net weight of each ingredient used,\n\ne. adequate directions for use for all customer-formula\n\nfeeds containing drugs and for other feeds the Board\n\nmay require for their safe and effective use,\n\nf. the direction for use and precautionary statements as\n\nrequired by the Board, and\n\ng. if a drug-containing product is used:\n\n(1) the purpose of the medication (claim statement),\n\nand\n\n(2) the established name of each active drug\n\ningredient and the level of each drug used in the\n\nfinal mixture expressed in accordance with rules\n\npromulgated by the Board.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4030a24c9df83c03697f968cb9234f2abb7063eed2f3b6fa67dcd2d4949f11d3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-8-41.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-8-41.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
