Stat. tit. 2, § 2-8-80.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"When used in the Oklahoma Agricultural Liming Materials Act:\n\n1. \"Agricultural liming material\" means a product whose calcium\n\nand magnesium compounds are capable of neutralizing soil acidity;\n\n2. \"Brand\" means the term, designation, trademark, product\n\nname, or other specific designation under which an individual\n\nagricultural liming material is offered for sale;\n\n3. \"Bulk\" means liquid or solid liming material in a\n\nnonpackaged form;\n\n4. \"Burnt lime\" means a calcined material comprised chiefly of\n\ncalcium oxide in natural association with lesser amounts of\n\nmagnesium and is capable of slaking with water;\n\n5. \"Calcium Carbonate Equivalent\" (CCE) means the acid\n\nneutralizing capacity of an agricultural liming material expressed\n\nas weight percentage of calcium carbonate;\n\n6. \"Effective Calcium Carbonate Equivalent\" (ECCE) is the\n\npercent of calcium carbonate equivalent (CCE) multiplied by the\n\n\"fineness factor\";\n\n7. \"Fineness\" means the percentage by weight of the material\n\npassing U.S. standard sieves of specified sizes. The State Board of\n\nAgriculture shall promulgate rules relating to fineness and shall be\n\nguided by the American Society for Testing Materials specification\n\nfor sieve sizes;\n\n8. \"Fineness factor\" is the degree of fineness of the liming\n\nmaterial used and shall be determined as prescribed by rules;\n\n9. \"Guarantor\" means a person responsible to the Board for any\n\nclaims or guarantees associated with the manufacture, distribution,\n\nand use of agricultural liming materials;\n\n10. \"Hydrated lime\" means a dry material made from burnt lime;\n\n11. \"Industrial coproducts\" means any industrial waste or by-\n\nproduct containing calcium or calcium and magnesium in forms that\n\nwill neutralize soil acidity and it may be designated by prefixing\n\nthe name of the industry or process used for its production;\n\n12. \"Label\" means any written or printed matter on or attached\n\nto the package or on the delivery ticket or invoice which\n\naccompanies bulk shipments;\n\n13. \"Limestone\" means a material consisting essentially of\n\ncalcium carbonate or a combination of calcium carbonate with\n\nmagnesium carbonate capable of neutralizing soil acidity;\n\n14. \"Marl\" means a granular or loosely consolidated earthy\n\nmaterial composed largely of sea shell fragments and calcium\n\ncarbonate;\n\n15. \"Percent\" or \"percentage\" means by weight; and\n\n16. \"Registrant\" means the person registering agricultural\n\nliming materials pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma\n\nAgricultural Liming Materials Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1b8dd8466b1c9a2f755b8514870f26d7202222e8deda5da18839eb70d8d8cd84","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-8-80.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-8-80.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
