Stat. tit. 2, § 2-9-138","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Livestock Auction Market Act:\n\n1. “Exotic animals” means commercially raised animals of the\n\nfamilies bovidae, cervidae, antilocapridae, suidae, and ratites;\n\n2. “Livestock” means cattle, swine, sheep, horses, mules, or\n\ngoats and includes exotic animals;\n\n3. “Payment by check” means the actual delivery of the check to\n\nthe seller or representative at the location where the transfer of\n\nownership is accomplished. In the case of grade and yield selling,\n\npayment by check means making the check available at the packing\n\nplant, subject to the instructions of the seller or representative;\n\n4. “Slaughter” means killing livestock with the intent to\n\nprocess and distribute the meat and offal of the livestock,\n\nregardless of the period of time elapsing between the purchase and\n\nthe killing of the livestock; and\n\n5. “Wire transfer” means any telephonic, telegraphic,\n\nelectronic, or similar communication between the financial\n\ninstitution or bank of the purchaser and the financial institution\n\nor bank of the seller which results in the transfer of funds or\n\ncredit of the purchaser to an account of the seller.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e7c118d361dea075b2ecb553dec6417d251b357c08a6bc52806d4b1961440fb7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-9-136","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-9-139"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
