Unless agreed to in writing between the owner and the\n\npurchaser, the agent, or representative of the purchaser for each\n\ntransaction, it shall be unlawful for any person who purchases\n\nlivestock for slaughter, whether acting individually, as agent, or\n\nrepresentative of another, to fail or refuse to make payment by\n\nnegotiable check or wire transfer of funds to the owner, or the\n\nrepresentative, agent, or assignee of the owner for the livestock on\n\nthe business day within which the ownership of the livestock is\n\ntransferred within the State of Oklahoma.\n\n2. If the transfer of ownership is accomplished after normal\n\nbanking hours, the payment shall be made in the manner provided not\n\nlater than the close of the first business day following the\n\ntransfer of ownership.\n\n3. For the purposes of this section, if livestock is sold and\n\npurchased on a grade and yield basis, the transfer of ownership\n\nshall be deemed to have occurred on the day when the grade and yield\n\nis determined.\n\nB.
