Stat. tit. 2, § 2-9-21","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Public Warehouse and Commodity Indemnity Act:\n\n1. “Charter” means a franchise issued to a person for the\n\noperation of a public warehouse;\n\n2. “Commodities” means nonperishable grains or seeds;\n\n3. “Depositor” means any person storing commodities with a\n\nstate-chartered or federally licensed warehouse;\n\n4. “Electronic document” means a document that is generated,\n\nsent, received, or stored by electronic data interchange, electronic\n\nmail, telegram, telex, or telecopy;\n\n5. “Electronic receipt” means a receipt that is authorized by\n\nthe State Board of Agriculture to be issued under this act in the\n\nform of an electronic document;\n\n6. “Full market value” means the value required by law to be\n\nused by insurance underwriters in paying for losses of commodities\n\ninsured for their actual cash value;\n\n7. “Indemnity” means the Oklahoma Commodity Storage Indemnity\n\nFund;\n\n8. “Loss” means any monetary reduction in value to a producer\n\nof an extraordinary nature and which shall include, but not be\n\nlimited to, bankruptcy, embezzlement, theft or fraud;\n\n9. “Producer” means any person planting, raising, growing, or\n\nharvesting commodities;\n\n10. “Public warehouse” means any place where commodities are\n\nreceived for storage, received for transfer to other public\n\nwarehouses, or both;\n\n11. “Storage” or “warehousing” means any method of holding\n\ncommodities by a party other than the direct owner except for\n\ntransportation;\n\n12. “Warehouseman” means any person operating a public\n\nwarehouse; and\n\n13. “Warehouse receipt” means every receipt issued by a\n\nwarehouseman for commodities pursuant to the Public Warehouse and\n\nCommodity Indemnity Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1da019f71586e8fb1711cb87b60dda18342e3014e15665dd50fa8d970617e4db","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-9-209.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-9-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
