Stat. tit. 2, § 2-9-28.1","heading":"Electronic receipts and documents - Security interest -","body":"Rule making.\n\nNotwithstanding any other provision of federal or state law:\n\n1. Electronic receipts issued, and electronic documents\n\ntransferred, under this subsection with respect to an agricultural\n\nproduct may be recorded in, and transferred under, a system\n\nmaintained in one or more locations and approved by the State Board\n\nof Agriculture in accordance with rules issued under this act;\n\n2. Any person designated as the holder of an electronic receipt\n\nor other electronic document under this act shall, for the purpose\n\nof perfecting the security interest of the person under federal or\n\nstate law and for all other purposes, be considered to be in\n\npossession of the electronic receipt or other electronic document;\n\n3. An electronic receipt issued, or other electronic document\n\ntransferred, in accordance with this act shall not be denied legal\n\neffect, validity, or enforceability on the ground that the\n\ninformation is generated, sent, received, or stored by electronic or\n\nsimilar means;\n\n4. A person shall not be required to issue in electronic form a\n\nreceipt or document with respect to an agricultural product;\n\n5. The Board shall promulgate rules that authorize the\n\nissuance, recording, and transfer of electronic receipts, and the\n\ntransfer of other electronic documents, in accordance with this\n\nsubsection; and\n\n6.
