If a warehouse receipt is lost or destroyed and a duplicate\n\nreceipt is desired, a duplicate shall be issued in the same manner\n\nas the original receipt upon affidavit of the owner of the original\n\nreceipt that the receipt has been lost or destroyed. When the owner\n\nhas furnished the warehouseman an acceptable bond in an amount equal\n\nto the value of the commodities represented by the lost or destroyed\n\nreceipt at the time the bond is given, the bond shall indemnify the\n\nwarehouseman against loss or damage by reason of the issuance of the\n\nduplicate receipt.\n\nB. If a warehouse receipt is lost or destroyed and a settlement\n\nfor the stored commodities is desired, the settlement shall be made\n\nupon affidavit of the owner of the original receipt that the receipt\n\nhas been lost or destroyed. When the owner has furnished the\n\nwarehouseman an acceptable bond in an amount equal to the value of\n\nthe commodities represented by the lost or destroyed receipt at the\n\ntime the bond is given, the bond shall indemnify the warehouseman\n\nagainst loss or damage sustained by reason of making the settlement\n\nof delivering the described commodities.\n\nC.
