Stat. tit. 20, § 20-1103","heading":"Contributions - Oklahoma Judicial Retirement Fund -","body":"Returns.\n\nA. Effective September 1, 2005, each Justice or judge who is a\n\nmember of The Uniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges\n\nshall have eight percent (8%) of his or her current monthly salary\n\nwithheld by the State of Oklahoma and deposited in a fund in the\n\nState Treasury which is hereby created and shall be known as the\n\nOklahoma Judicial Retirement Fund. If a Justice or judge shall\n\ncease to be a Justice or judge of the above-mentioned courts, for\n\nany reason, before he or she has accumulated eight (8) years of\n\naccredited service, or dies after he or she has accumulated eight\n\n(8) years’ service and having no survivor benefit, then all the\n\ncontributions retained from his or her salary shall be paid to him\n\nor her or his or her named beneficiary, or his or her estate in case\n\nof no named beneficiary, and he or she shall have no further claim\n\nagainst the State of Oklahoma for retirement pay for his or her\n\nservices to date.\n\nB. Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, the\n\ncompensation taken into account for any judge or Justice in\n\ndetermining contributions or benefit accruals for any plan year is\n\nlimited to the annual compensation limit under Section 401(a)(17) of\n\nthe federal Internal Revenue Code.\n\nC. Upon death of a retired judge who has no survivor benefits,\n\nthere shall be paid to his or her named beneficiary, or his or her\n\nestate in case of no named beneficiary, an amount equal to the\n\nexcess, if any, of his or her accumulated contributions over the sum\n\nof all retirement benefit payments made.\n\nD. Upon the death of a retired member, the benefit payment for\n\nthe month in which the retired member died, if not previously paid,\n\nshall be made to the estate of the member or to the member’s\n\nbeneficiary if there is no estate.
