Any Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge of the Court of\n\nCriminal Appeals, or Judge of the Court of Civil Appeals who is\n\nretired pursuant to the Uniform Retirement System for Justices and\n\nJudges, Section 1101 et seq. of this title, may apply to the Supreme\n\nCourt for senior status.\n\nB. Any District Judge, Associate District Judge, or Judge of\n\nthe Workers' Compensation Court who is retired pursuant to the\n\nUniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges, Section 1101 et\n\nseq. of this title, may apply to the Supreme Court for active duty\n\nassignments.\n\nC. The Supreme Court may assign duties to Senior Justices and\n\nJudges and to Active Retired Judges. These duties may include, but\n\nshall not be limited to, settlement efforts, consideration of\n\nmotions, consideration of special proceedings, administrative\n\nduties, and research and writing of opinions. These duties may or\n\nmay not include courtroom participation.\n\nD. It shall be the duty of the Supreme Court to annually\n\ncertify the status of Senior Justices and Judges and Active Retired\n\nJudges.\n\nE. The Supreme Court may make any appropriate order regarding\n\noffice space, necessary equipment, and support staff as appropriate\n\nfor Senior Justices and Judges and Active Retired Judges.\n\nF.
