Juvenile court case managers may be appointed in any county\n\npursuant to subsection C of this section.\n\nB. The duties of the juvenile court case managers shall be:\n\n1. To assist judges with juvenile docket responsibilities in\n\nthe appointing county by ensuring that juvenile cases proceed\n\nthrough the court process in a timely and effective manner by\n\naccurately tracking cases, ensuring consistent data entry,\n\nconducting review of open cases and monitoring open case reports to\n\nensure compliance with all federal and state statutory requirements;\n\n2. To increase the amount of information available to the court\n\nfor its consideration by acting as liaison between parties,\n\nattorneys and other professionals and the judges;\n\n3. To encourage accountability and communication among\n\nprofessionals, parties, participants and attorneys; and\n\n4. To perform any other duties necessary to assist the court in\n\ncarrying out its judicial functions under Title 10A of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.\n\nC. Juvenile court case managers shall be selected by the chief\n\nof the juvenile division of the district court subject to the\n\napproval of the Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.\n\nJuvenile court case managers shall serve at the pleasure of the\n\nchief of the juvenile division.\n\nD. To be eligible for appointment as a juvenile court case\n\nmanager, a person shall possess at least one of the following\n\nminimum qualifications:\n\n1. Be an attorney licensed to practice law in this state with\n\nat least two (2) years' experience in juvenile or family law; or\n\n2. Hold a bachelor's degree in the social sciences or related\n\nfield from an accredited college or university and three (3) years'\n\nexperience working with court procedures, juvenile law or social\n\nwork. A master's degree in social sciences may substitute for one\n\n(1) year of the required experience.\n\nE. Each juvenile court case manager shall be a full-time or\n\npart-time state employee and receive a salary to be determined by\n\nthe Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court to be paid from the\n\nState Judicial Fund.\n\nF. The juvenile divisions of the district courts located in two\n\nor more adjoining counties may enter into an agreement to employ a\n\nsingle juvenile court case manager to serve the needs of the\n\njuvenile court judges in those counties. Such juvenile court case\n\nmanager shall be employed and serve in the same manner as those\n\nemployed for individual counties.\n\nG. In the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, the Oklahoma\n\nSupreme Court is authorized to employ up to ten full-time juvenile\n\ncourt case managers. Five shall be in Oklahoma County, four shall\n\nbe in Tulsa County and one shall be in Washington County.\n\nH. In the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2015, in addition to\n\nthe juvenile court case managers authorized in subsection G of this\n\nsection, the Oklahoma Supreme Court is authorized to employ up to\n\nfive full-time juvenile court case managers.
