Stat. tit. 20, § 20-129","heading":"Judicial firearms permits","body":"A judge of the district court, municipal judge, or retired judge\n\nof the district court who receives a statement from the appropriate\n\nretirement system verifying the status of the person as a retired\n\njudge of the district court may carry a firearm on his or her person\n\nanywhere in the state to use only for personal protection if the\n\nperson has successfully completed a handgun qualification course for\n\ncourt officials developed by the Council on Law Enforcement\n\nEducation and Training. The Council on Law Enforcement Education\n\nand Training may provide for an identification card to be issued to\n\nthe judge of the district court, retired judge of the district\n\ncourt, or municipal judge and may provide application forms.
