Beginning January 1, 2012, district courts may use\n\nvideoconferencing, including two-way interactive video technology,\n\nbetween a courtroom and a correctional facility of the Department of\n\nCorrections or a juvenile detention facility of the Office of\n\nJuvenile Affairs to conduct the following proceedings including, but\n\nnot limited to:\n\n1. Sentence reviews;\n\n2. Post-conviction relief hearings;\n\n3. Delinquent and deprived actions;\n\n4. Custody and adoption proceedings;\n\n5. Commitment proceedings; and\n\n6. Extradition proceedings.\n\nB. A waiver from the defendant or juvenile of the right to be\n\npresent in the courtroom for a hearing shall be obtained prior to\n\nconducting any proceeding using videoconferencing or two-way\n\ninteractive video technology. The use of videoconferencing or two-\n\nway interactive video technology shall be in accordance with any\n\nrequirements and guidelines established by the Administrative Office\n\nof the Courts and all proceedings at which such technology is\n\nutilized shall be recorded verbatim by the district court.\n\nC.
