The state is hereby divided into five (5) Court of Criminal\n\nAppeals Judicial Districts. From each of said districts candidates\n\nfor Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals shall be nominated and\n\nappointed in the manner provided by Article VII-B of the Oklahoma\n\nConstitution. All Judges of the Court of Criminal Appeals may seek\n\nretention in office pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of\n\nArticle VII-B of the Oklahoma Constitution and each Judge shall be\n\nvoted for by the qualified voters of the state at large.\n\nB. Beginning July 1, 2020, the boundaries of the Court of\n\nCriminal Appeals Judicial Districts shall be the boundaries of the\n\nfive Oklahoma Congressional Districts as constituted on January 8,\n\n2019, as follows:\n\n1. The Court of Criminal Appeals Judicial District No. 1 shall\n\nembrace and include Congressional District No. 1;\n\n2. The Court of Criminal Appeals Judicial District No. 2 shall\n\nembrace and include Congressional District No. 3;\n\n3. The Court of Criminal Appeals Judicial District No. 3 shall\n\nembrace and include Congressional District No. 2;\n\n4. The Court of Criminal Appeals Judicial District No. 4 shall\n\nembrace and include Congressional District No. 5; and\n\n5. The Court of Criminal Appeals Judicial District No. 5 shall\n\nembrace and include Congressional District No. 4.\n\nC. Each Judge in office on July 1, 2020, shall serve the term\n\nfor which the Judge was appointed or retained in office by retention\n\nballot and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified,\n\nunless the Judge vacates the office prior to the end of his or her\n\nterm or is removed from office as provided by law. Any Judge in\n\noffice on July 1, 2020, shall be eligible for retention in the same\n\noffice for succeeding terms.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 1761.
