Stat. tit. 20, § 20-91.1","heading":"District courts as successors to jurisdiction of various","body":"other courts.\n\nThe district courts of the State of Oklahoma are the successors\n\nto the jurisdiction of all other courts, including the Superior\n\nCourts, the County Courts, the Courts of Common Pleas, Special\n\nSessions Courts, Courts of Special Sessions, City Courts, Juvenile\n\nCourts, Children's Courts, Justice of the Peace Courts, and\n\nmunicipal courts in civil matters and proceedings for the violation\n\nof state statutes. Wherever reference is made in the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes to any of the above courts or to the judge thereof, it\n\nshall be deemed to refer to the district court or a judge thereof;\n\nprovided, however, that any statute that refers to the salary of the\n\njudge of any Superior Court, Court of Common Pleas, County Court,\n\nJuvenile Court, or Children's Court, insofar as that portion of the\n\nstatute dealing with salary is concerned, shall not be deemed to\n\nrefer to any district judge, associate district judge or special\n\njudge, and any salary mentioned in such statute shall not be paid to\n\nthe judge who succeeded to the jurisdiction of the judge who is\n\nnamed in the statute.","path":["OK Code","Title 20"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os20.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ee088732f4ee4cd8c0cae7aa7eb53b7200b5984ccc3c156b92f172942bede3e1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-20-20-9","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-20-20-91.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
