Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1102","heading":"License - Restrictions - Fee - Notice - Protests","body":"\n\nIt shall be unlawful for any person to maintain or operate a\n\npublic pool or billiard hall, or any public pool or billiard table,\n\nin any incorporated city or town, without first securing a license\n\nfrom the district court clerk. The person applying for the license\n\nshall appear once each year and satisfy the district court clerk\n\nthat he or she is a person of good moral character; that he or she\n\nhas never been convicted of violating any of the laws regulating the\n\ntraffic in any spirituous, vinous, fermented, or malt liquors, or\n\nany of the intoxicating beverage or low-point beer laws of this\n\nstate, or convicted of violating any of the gambling laws of this\n\nstate. A fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) every three (3) years\n\nshall be charged for the license. Upon application, the district\n\ncourt clerk shall give five (5) days' notice by posting notices, one\n\nnotice to be posted at the county courthouse, one notice to be\n\nserved on the district attorney or the district attorney’s\n\nassistant, and three (3) notices in the city or town where the pool\n\nhall shall be located. The notice shall contain the name of the\n\napplicant and the location of the pool or billiard hall. Any\n\ncitizen of the city or town may file a written protest to the\n\nissuance of the license with the district court clerk and the court\n\nshall set the matter of protest for hearing.
