Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1241","heading":"Furnishing cigarettes or other tobacco or vapor products","body":"to persons under 21 - Punishment.\n\nA. Any person who shall furnish to any person under the age of\n\ntwenty-one (21) by gift, sale or otherwise any cigarettes, cigarette\n\npapers, cigars, bidis, snuff, chewing tobacco, or any other form of\n\ntobacco product, nicotine product or vapor product shall be guilty\n\nof a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine\n\nin the amount of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more\n\nthan Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) and by imprisonment in the county\n\njail for a term of not less than ten (10) days nor more than ninety\n\n(90) days for each offense. For the purposes of this section, the\n\nterm \"vapor product\" shall have the same meaning as provided in the\n\nPrevention of Youth Access to Tobacco Act.\n\nB. The provisions of subsection A of this section shall not\n\napply to persons performing activities as part of a scientific study\n\nbeing conducted by a research institution for the purpose of medical\n\nresearch to further efforts in cigarette and tobacco use prevention\n\nand cessation and tobacco product regulation, provided that such\n\nmedical research has been approved by a properly accredited\n\ninstitutional review board pursuant to applicable federal\n\nregulations.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5f99b6d87ab029a5f02ccab4ac2203e416dc3dfbd57bfc360b3d986605b52fd5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1230.9","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1242"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
