Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1278","heading":"Unlawful intent to carry","body":"UNLAWFUL INTENT TO CARRY\n\nAny person in this state who carries or wears any deadly weapons\n\nor dangerous instrument whatsoever with the intent or for the avowed\n\npurpose of unlawfully injuring another person shall, upon\n\nconviction, be guilty of a Class D1 felony offense punishable by a\n\nfine not exceeding Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or by\n\nimprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section\n\n20N of this title, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The mere\n\npossession of such a weapon or dangerous instrument, without more,\n\nhowever, shall not be sufficient to establish intent as required by\n\nthis section.\n\nAny person convicted of violating the provisions of this section\n\nafter having been issued a handgun license pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act shall have the license\n\nrevoked and shall be liable for an administrative fine of One\n\nThousand Dollars ($1,000.00) upon a hearing and determination by the\n\nOklahoma State Bureau of Investigation that the person is in\n\nviolation of the provisions of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"209d39417ba2d51b173af0aa9eafe4843697dd3826e661031da5427667daf057","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1277","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1279"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
