Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1289.12","heading":"Giving firearms to convicted persons","body":"GIVING FIREARMS TO CONVICTED PERSONS\n\nIt shall be unlawful for any person within this state to\n\nknowingly sell, trade, give, transmit or otherwise cause the\n\ntransfer of rifles, shotguns or pistols to any convicted felon or an\n\nadjudicated delinquent, and it shall be unlawful for any person\n\nwithin this state to knowingly sell, trade, give, transmit or\n\notherwise cause the transfer of any shotgun, rifle or pistol to any\n\nindividual who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is\n\nmentally or emotionally unbalanced or disturbed. All persons who\n\nengage in selling, trading or otherwise transferring firearms will\n\ndisplay this section prominently in full view at or near the point\n\nof normal firearms sale, trade or transfer. Any person convicted of\n\nviolating the provisions of this section shall be punished as\n\nprovided in Section 1289.15 of this title.\n\nAny person convicted of a violation of this section after having\n\nbeen issued a handgun license pursuant to the Oklahoma Self-Defense\n\nAct shall have the license suspended for six (6) months and shall be\n\nliable for an administrative fine of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), upon a\n\nhearing and determination by the Oklahoma State Bureau of\n\nInvestigation that the person is in violation of the provisions of\n\nthis section.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"73d570d064c9b0ab7b5a25f87a8f7ff73e9f36e6181524f9dc081931965dae2f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1289.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1289.13a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
