Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1289.13A","heading":"Improper transportation of firearms","body":"IMPROPER TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARMS\n\nA. Any person stopped pursuant to a moving traffic violation\n\nwho is transporting a firearm in or on the vehicle in violation of\n\nany law related to the carrying or transporting of firearms in the\n\nvehicle, may be issued a traffic citation in the amount of Seventy\n\nDollars ($70.00), plus court costs for transporting a firearm\n\nimproperly. In addition to the traffic citation provided in this\n\nsection, the person may also be arrested for any other violation of\n\nlaw.\n\nB. Any firearm lawfully carried or transported as permitted\n\npursuant to state law shall not be confiscated, unless:\n\n1. The person is arrested for violating another provision of\n\nlaw other than a violation of subsection A of this section;\n\nprovided, however, if the person is never charged with an offense\n\npursuant to this paragraph or if the charges are dismissed or the\n\nperson is acquitted, the weapon and ammunition shall be returned to\n\nthe person; or\n\n2. The officer has probable cause to believe the weapon is:\n\na. contraband, or\n\nb. a firearm used in the commission of a crime other than\n\na violation of subsection A of this section.\n\nC.
