Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1289.16v1","heading":"Felony pointing firearms or other deadly weapons","body":"FELONY POINTING FIREARMS\n\nA. It shall be lawful to point a firearm, knife, or any other\n\ndeadly weapon at another person or persons by:\n\n1. A person who can legally own or possess a weapon pursuant to\n\nthe provisions of Section 1272 of this title:\n\na. during an act of self-defense, or\n\nb. in defense of real or private property, whether owned,\n\nleased, or occupied by permission of the property\n\nowner and whether or not the person possesses a valid\n\nhandgun license issued pursuant to the Oklahoma Self-\n\nDefense Act;\n\n2. A person in the defensive display of a firearm or other\n\ndeadly weapon, as provided for in Section 1289.25 of this title;\n\n3. Law enforcement authorities in the performance of their\n\nduties;\n\n4. Armed security guards licensed by the Council on Law\n\nEnforcement Education and Training pursuant to the Oklahoma Security\n\nGuard and Private Investigator Act in the performance of their\n\nduties;\n\n5. Members of the state military forces in the performance of\n\ntheir duties;\n\n6. Members of the federal military reserve and active military\n\ncomponents in the performance of their duties;\n\n7. Any federal government law enforcement officer in the\n\nperformance of any duty; or\n\n8. Any person during the performance of a play on stage, while\n\nparticipating in a rodeo, or when participating in a television\n\nprogram or film project.\n\nB. It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully and without\n\nlawful cause point a firearm, knife, or any other deadly weapon,\n\nwhether loaded or not, at any person or persons for the purpose of\n\nthreatening or with the intention of discharging the firearm or with\n\nany malice or for any purpose of injuring, either through physical\n\ninjury or mental or emotional intimidation, or for purposes of\n\nwhimsy, humor, or prank, or in anger or otherwise.\n\nC.
