The State Legislature declares that the lawful design,\n\nmarketing, manufacturing, or sale of firearms or ammunition to the\n\npublic is not unreasonably dangerous activity and does not\n\nconstitute a nuisance.\n\n2. The authority to bring suit and right to recover against any\n\nfirearms or ammunition manufacturer, trade association, or dealer by\n\nor on behalf of any governmental unit created by or pursuant to an\n\nact of the Legislature or the Constitution, or any department,\n\nagency, or authority thereof, for damages, abatement, or injunctive\n\nrelief resulting from or relating to the lawful design,\n\nmanufacturing, marketing, or sale of firearms or ammunition to the\n\npublic shall be reserved exclusively to the state. This paragraph\n\nshall not prohibit a political subdivision or local government\n\nauthority from bringing an action against a firearms or ammunition\n\nmanufacturer or dealer for breach of contract or warranty as to\n\nfirearms or ammunition purchased by the political subdivision or\n\nlocal government authority.
