Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1289.6","heading":"Conditions under which firearms may be carried","body":"CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH FIREARMS MAY BE CARRIED\n\nA. A person shall be permitted to carry loaded and unloaded\n\nshotguns, rifles and pistols without a handgun license as authorized\n\nby the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act pursuant to the following\n\nconditions:\n\n1. When hunting animals or fowl;\n\n2. During competition in or practicing in a safety or hunter\n\nsafety class, target shooting, skeet, trap or other recognized\n\nsporting events;\n\n3. During participation in or in preparation for a military\n\nfunction of the state military forces to be defined as the Oklahoma\n\nArmy or Air National Guard, federal military reserve and active\n\nmilitary forces. It is further provided that Oklahoma Army or Air\n\nNational Guard personnel with proper authorization and performing a\n\nmilitary function may carry loaded or unloaded and concealed weapons\n\non Oklahoma Military Department facilities in accordance with rules\n\npromulgated by the Adjutant General;\n\n4. During participation in or in preparation for a recognized\n\npolice function of either a municipal, county or state government as\n\nfunctioning police officials;\n\n5. During a practice for or a performance for entertainment\n\npurposes;\n\n6. As provided for in subsection A of Section 1272 of this\n\ntitle; or\n\n7. For lawful self-defense and self-protection or any other\n\nlegitimate purpose not in violation of any legislative enactment\n\nregarding the use, carrying, ownership and control of firearms.\n\nB. A person shall be permitted to carry unloaded shotguns,\n\nrifles and pistols without a handgun license as authorized by the\n\nOklahoma Self-Defense Act and when going to or from the person's\n\nprivate residence or vehicle.\n\nC.
