No person, property owner, tenant, employer, or business\n\nentity shall maintain, establish, or enforce any policy or rule that\n\nhas the effect of prohibiting any person, except a convicted felon,\n\nfrom transporting and storing firearms or ammunition in a locked\n\nmotor vehicle, or from transporting and storing firearms or\n\nammunition locked in or locked to a motor vehicle on any property\n\nset aside for any motor vehicle.\n\nB. No person, property owner, tenant, employer, or business\n\nentity shall be liable in any civil action for occurrences which\n\nresult from the storing of firearms or ammunition in a locked motor\n\nvehicle on any property set aside for any motor vehicle, unless the\n\nperson, property owner, tenant, employer, or owner of the business\n\nentity commits a criminal act involving the use of the firearms or\n\nammunition. The provisions of this subsection shall not apply to\n\nclaims pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act.\n\nC. An individual may bring a civil action to enforce this\n\nsection. If a plaintiff prevails in a civil action related to the\n\npersonnel manual against a person, property owner, tenant, employer\n\nor business for a violation of this section, the court shall award\n\nactual damages, enjoin further violations of this section, and award\n\ncourt costs and attorney fees to the prevailing plaintiff.\n\nD.
