Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1289.9","heading":"Carrying weapons under influence of alcohol","body":"CARRYING WEAPONS UNDER INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL\n\nIt shall be unlawful for any person to carry or use shotguns,\n\nrifles or pistols in any circumstances while under the influence of\n\nbeer, intoxicating liquors or any hallucinogenic, or any unlawful or\n\nunprescribed drug, and it shall be unlawful for any person to carry\n\nor use shotguns, rifles or pistols when under the influence of any\n\ndrug prescribed by a licensed physician if the aftereffects of such\n\nconsumption affect mental, emotional or physical processes to a\n\ndegree that would result in abnormal behavior. Any person convicted\n\nof a violation of the provisions of this section shall be punished\n\nas provided in Section 1289.15 of this title.\n\nAny person convicted of a violation of the provisions of this\n\nsection after having been issued a handgun license pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act shall have the license\n\nsuspended for a term of six (6) months and shall be subject to an\n\nadministrative fine of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), upon a hearing and\n\ndetermination by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation that the\n\nperson is in violation of the provisions of this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"594e9016d01f7b7d94791c29f837e82f9d0c6ad34738afd7fa23d87a0c92f763","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1289.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1290.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
