Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1376","heading":"Orders to leave institutions of learning – Grounds –","body":"Penalty – Definition - Grievance and appeals procedures.\n\nA. The chief administrative officer or anyone designated by the\n\nchief administrative officer or the governing board of the\n\ninstitution of learning to maintain order at an institution of\n\nlearning shall have the authority and power to direct any person to\n\nleave the institution of learning who is not a student, officer or\n\nemployee thereof, and who:\n\n1. Interferes with the peaceful conduct of activities at an\n\ninstitution of learning;\n\n2. Commits an act which interferes with the peaceful conduct of\n\nactivities at an institution of learning; or\n\n3. Enters the institution of learning for the purpose of\n\ncommitting an act which may interfere with the peaceful conduct of\n\nactivities at an institution of learning.\n\nB. Any person to whom this section applies, who fails to leave\n\nthe institution of learning as directed or returns within six (6)\n\nmonths thereafter, without first obtaining written permission from\n\nthe chief administrative officer or anyone designated by the chief\n\nadministrative officer or the governing board of the institution of\n\nlearning, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.\n\nC. “Interferes with the peaceful conduct” includes actions that\n\ndirectly interfere with classes, study, student or faculty safety,\n\nhousing or parking areas, or extracurricular activities; threatening\n\nor stalking any person; damaging or causing waste to any property\n\nbelonging to another person or the institution of learning; or\n\ndirect interference with administration, maintenance or security of\n\nproperty belonging to the institution of learning.\n\nD. The governing board of each institution of learning shall\n\nestablish a grievance or appeals procedure and an opportunity for\n\nhearing for persons who have been required to leave the institution\n\npursuant to this section.
