A judgment of death must be executed at the Oklahoma State\n\nPenitentiary at McAlester, Oklahoma, said prison to be designated by\n\nthe court by which judgment is to be rendered. A place shall be\n\nprovided at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary at McAlester so that\n\nindividuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and who are\n\nmembers of the immediate family of any deceased victim of the\n\ndefendant may witness the execution. The immediate family members\n\nshall be allowed to witness the execution from an area that is\n\nseparate from the area to which other nonfamily member witnesses are\n\nadmitted, provided, however, if there are multiple deceased victims,\n\nthe Department of Corrections shall not be required to provide\n\nseparate areas for each family of each deceased victim. If\n\nfacilities are not capable or sufficient to provide all immediate\n\nfamily members with a direct view of the execution, the Department\n\nmay broadcast the execution by means of a closed circuit television\n\nsystem to an area in which other immediate family members may be\n\nlocated.\n\nB. Immediate family members may request individuals not\n\ndirectly related to the deceased victim but who serve a close\n\nsupporting role or professional role to the deceased victim or an\n\nimmediate family member, including, but not limited to, a minister\n\nor licensed counselor. The warden in consultation with the Director\n\nof the Department of Corrections shall approve or disapprove such\n\nrequests. Provided further, the Department may set a limit on the\n\nnumber of witnesses or viewers within occupancy limits.\n\nC. Any surviving victim of the defendant who is eighteen (18)\n\nyears of age or older may view the execution by closed circuit\n\ntelevision with the approval of both the Director of the Department\n\nof Corrections and the warden. The Director and warden shall\n\nprioritize persons to view the execution, including immediate family\n\nmembers, surviving victims, and supporting persons, and may set a\n\nlimit on the number of viewers within occupancy limits. Any\n\nsurviving victim approved to view the execution of their perpetrator\n\nmay have an accompanying support person as provided for members of\n\nthe immediate family of a deceased victim.\n\nD.
