Stat. tit. 21, § 21-142C","heading":"Definitions","body":"For the purposes of this act:\n\n1. \"Law enforcement officer\" means any sheriff, police officer,\n\npeace officer, tribal law enforcement officer, federal law\n\nenforcement officer, campus police officer or any other law\n\nenforcement officer who has been certified by the Council on Law\n\nEnforcement Education and Training (CLEET) and whose duty it is to\n\nenforce and preserve the public peace or any other first responder;\n\n2. \"Sexual assault forensic evidence\" means any human\n\nbiological specimen collected by a medical provider during a\n\nforensic medical examination from an alleged sexual assault victim\n\nincluding, when circumstances indicate the need, a toxicology kit;\n\n3. \"Sexual assault victim\" or \"victim\" means any person who is\n\na victim of a sexual assault as defined under Section 142.20 of\n\nTitle 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes. If the victim is incompetent,\n\nthe term shall include the parent, guardian, spouse or any other\n\nperson related to the incompetent victim by consanguinity or\n\naffinity to the second degree or any other lawful representative of\n\nthe incompetent victim; and\n\n4. \"Sexual assault victims' advocate\" means any person who\n\nserves as a victims' advocate for a state-certified or tribal sexual\n\nassault or sex trafficking program or an advocate working in a\n\ncenter that offers sexual assault services to minors who has\n\nreceived formalized training through a government or tribal agency\n\nin providing trauma-informed direct services to victims of sexual\n\nassault.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0f1a3daa2fa27dbb101280db1a81180001142572d3626f754ebc40f907821e52","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-142b","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-142c-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
