Knowingly make or cause to be made, either directly or\n\nindirectly, or through any agency whatsoever, any false statement in\n\nwriting, with intent that it shall be relied upon, respecting the\n\nfinancial condition, or means or ability to pay of such person, or\n\nany other person, firm or corporation, in whom the person is\n\ninterested, or for whom the person is acting, for the purpose of\n\nprocuring in any form whatsoever, either the delivery of personal\n\nproperty, the payment of cash, the making of a loan or credit, the\n\nextension of a credit, the discount of an account receivable, or the\n\nmaking, acceptance, discount, sale or endorsement of a bill of\n\nexchange or promissory note, for the benefit of either such person\n\nor any other person, firm or corporation;\n\n2. With knowledge that a false statement in writing has been\n\nmade, respecting the financial condition or means or ability to pay,\n\nof such person, or any other person, firm or corporation in which\n\nthe person is interested, or for whom the person is acting,\n\nprocures, upon the faith thereof, for the benefit of either such\n\nperson, or any other person, firm or corporation, either or any of\n\nthe things of benefit mentioned in paragraph 1 of this section;\n\n3. With knowledge that a statement in writing has been made,\n\nrespecting the financial condition or means or ability to pay of\n\nsuch person, or any other person, firm or corporation, in which the\n\nperson is interested, or for whom the person is acting, represents\n\non a later date in writing, that the statement theretofore made, if\n\nthen again made on said day, would be then true, when in fact, the\n\nstatement if then made would be false, and procures upon the faith\n\nthereof, for the benefit of either such person or any other person,\n\nfirm or corporation, either or any of the things of benefit\n\nmentioned in paragraph 1 of this section; or\n\n4. Knowingly with intent to defraud, make any false statement\n\nor report or willfully falsify the value of any land, property or\n\nsecurity for the purpose of influencing in any way the action taken\n\nor decision made on any application, advance, discount, purchase,\n\npurchase agreement, repurchase agreement, commitment or loan, or any\n\nchange or extension of any of the same, by renewal, deferment of\n\naction or otherwise, or the acceptance, release or substitution of\n\nsecurity;\n\nshall be, upon conviction, guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by\n\nimprisonment in the county jail for not more than six (6) months or\n\nby a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by both\n\nsuch fine and imprisonment.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"157336195570f13cd436021acba33d72eef378727542a75ad06f5d1353197b51","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1500","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
