Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1502","heading":"Fraudulent advertising prohibited - Punishment","body":"Any person, firm, corporation or association who, with intent to\n\nsell or in anywise dispose of merchandise, securities, service or\n\nanything offered by such person, firm, corporation or association,\n\ndirectly or indirectly, to the public for sale or distribution, or\n\nwith intent to increase the consumption thereof, or to induce the\n\npublic in any manner to enter into any obligation relating thereto,\n\nor to acquire title thereto, or an interest therein, makes,\n\npublishes, disseminates, circulates or places before the public, or\n\ncauses directly or indirectly to be made, published, disseminated,\n\ncirculated or placed before the public in this state, in a newspaper\n\nor publication or in form of a book, notice, handbill, poster, bill,\n\ncircular, pamphlet or letter, or in any other way, an advertisement\n\nof any sort regarding merchandise, securities, service or anything\n\nso offered to the public, which advertisement contains any\n\nassertion, representation or statement of fact which is untrue,\n\ndeceptive or misleading, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and on\n\nconviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than Ten\n\nDollars ($10.00) nor more than Fifty ($50.00) or by imprisonment in\n\nthe county jail not exceeding twenty (20) days, or both such fine\n\nand imprisonment.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"92fdb4caf6f0dbeae4aad10915b064a097a9980b1e11e745bcd178d2ae89dc78","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1501","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
