Notwithstanding that jurisdiction may lie elsewhere for\n\ninvestigation and prosecution of a crime of identity theft, victims\n\nof identity theft have the right to contact the local law\n\nenforcement agency where the victim is domiciled and have an\n\nincident report about the identity theft prepared and filed. The\n\nlocal law enforcement agency that prepares and files the incident\n\nreport shall, upon request, provide the victim with a copy of the\n\nincident report. The law enforcement agency may share the incident\n\nreport with law enforcement agencies located in other jurisdictions.\n\nFor purposes of this section, \"incident report\" means a loss or\n\nother similar report prepared and filed by a local law enforcement\n\nagency.\n\nB. Nothing in this section shall interfere with the discretion\n\nof a local law enforcement agency to allocate resources for\n\ninvestigations of crimes.
