Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1541.2v2","heading":"Obtaining or attempting to obtain property by trick","body":"or deception - False statements or pretenses - Confidence game -\n\nPenalty.\n\nA. If the value of the money, property or valuable thing\n\nreferred to in Section 1541.1 of this title is:\n\n1. One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or more but less than Two\n\nThousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00), the person shall be\n\nguilty of a Class D3 felony offense punishable by imprisonment as\n\nprovided for in subsections B through F of Section 20P of this\n\ntitle, or by a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00),\n\nor by both such fine and imprisonment;\n\n2. Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) or more but\n\nless than Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00), the person shall be\n\nguilty of a Class D1 felony offense punishable by imprisonment as\n\nprovided for in subsections B through F of Section 20N of this\n\ntitle, or by a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00),\n\nor by both such imprisonment and fine; or\n\n3. Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) or more, the person\n\nshall be guilty of a Class C2 felony offense punishable by\n\nimprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section\n\n20M of this title, or by a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars\n\n($5,000.00), or by both such imprisonment and fine.\n\nB.
