Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1543","heading":"Obtaining signature or property for charitable purposes","body":"by false pretenses.\n\nAny person who designedly, by color or aid of any false token or\n\nwriting, or other false pretense, obtains the signature of any\n\nperson to any written instrument, or obtains from any person any\n\nmoney or property for any alleged charitable or benevolent purpose\n\nwhatever shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class D3 felony\n\noffense punishable by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B\n\nthrough F of Section 20P of this title, or by a fine not exceeding\n\nthe value of the money or property so obtained, or by both such fine\n\nand imprisonment.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2695.
