Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1577v1","heading":"Notes, checks, bills, drafts - Sale, exchange or","body":"delivery.\n\nEvery person who sells, exchanges or delivers for any\n\nconsideration any forged or counterfeited promissory note, check,\n\nbill, draft or other evidence of debt, or engagement for the payment\n\nof money absolutely, or upon any contingency, knowing the same to be\n\nforged or counterfeited, with intent to have the same uttered or\n\npassed, or who offers any such note or other instrument for sale,\n\nexchange or delivery for any consideration, with the like knowledge\n\nand intent, or who receives any such note or other instrument upon a\n\nsale, exchange or delivery for any consideration with the like\n\nknowledge and intent, is guilty of forgery in the second degree if\n\nthe value of the instrument is One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or\n\nmore and forgery in the third degree if the value of the instrument\n\nis less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).\n\nFor purposes of this section, a series of offenses may be\n\naggregated into one offense when they are the result of the\n\nformulation of a plan or scheme or the setting up of a mechanism\n\nwhich, when put into operation, results in the taking or diversion\n\nof money or property on a recurring basis. When all acts result\n\nfrom a continuing course of conduct, they may be aggregated into one\n\ncrime. Acts forming an integral part of the first taking which\n\nfacilitate subsequent takings, or acts taken in preparation of\n\nseveral takings which facilitate subsequent takings, are relevant to\n\ndetermine the intent of the party to commit a continuing crime.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2629.
