Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1585","heading":"Forging process of court or title to property, etc","body":"Every person who, with intent to defraud, falsely marks, alters,\n\nforges or counterfeits:\n\n1. Any instrument in writing, being or purporting to be any\n\nprocess issued by any competent court, magistrate, or officer of\n\nbeing or purporting to be any pleading, proceeding, bond or\n\nundertaking filed or entered in any court, or being or purporting to\n\nbe any license or authority authorized by any statute; or,\n\n2. Any instrument of writing, being or purporting to be the act\n\nof another by which any pecuniary demand or obligation is, or\n\npurports to be created, increased, discharged or diminished, or by\n\nwhich any rights or property whatever, are, or purport to be,\n\ntransferred, conveyed, discharged, diminished, or in any manner\n\naffected, the punishment of which is not hereinbefore prescribed, by\n\nwhich false marking, altering, forging or counterfeiting, any person\n\nmay be affected, bound or in any way injured in his person or\n\nproperty, is guilty of a forgery in the second degree, a Class D1\n\nfelony offense.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f639e498dc645e4d6f8d93e4756b1e0a8eba205e0df1f4bee7843ec2be6e1741","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1584","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1586"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
