Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1680.1","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Animal\" means any mammal, bird, fish, reptile or\n\ninvertebrate, including wild and domesticated species, other than a\n\nhuman being;\n\n2. \"Animal facility\" means any vehicle, building, structure,\n\nfarm, ranch or other premises where an animal is kept, handled,\n\ntransported, housed, exhibited, bred, offered for sale or used in\n\nany lawful scientific test, experiment, investigation or educational\n\ntraining;\n\n3. \"Person\" means any individual, state agency, corporation,\n\nassociation, nonprofit corporation, joint stock company, firm,\n\ntrust, partnership, two or more persons having a common interest, or\n\nother legal entity;\n\n4. \"Owner\" means a person who has title to the property,\n\npossession of the property, or a greater right to the possession of\n\nthe animal or property than another person;\n\n5. \"Possession\" means actual care, custody, control or\n\nmanagement; and\n\n6. \"Effective consent\" means consent by the owner or a person\n\nlegally authorized to act for the owner.
