When the property taken is of a value of One Thousand\n\nDollars ($1,000.00) or greater; or\n\n2. When such property, although not of a value of One Thousand\n\nDollars ($1,000.00) or greater, is taken from the person of another.\n\nLarceny in other cases is petit larceny.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2655.
