Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1722","heading":"Taking oil, gas, gasoline or any product thereof - When","body":"misdemeanor or felony.\n\nAny person who shall unlawfully take any crude oil or gasoline,\n\nor any product thereof, from any pipe, pipeline, tank, tank car, or\n\nother receptacle or container and any person who shall unlawfully\n\ntake or cause to be taken any machinery, drilling mud, equipment or\n\nother materials necessary for the drilling or production of oil or\n\ngas wells, with intent to deprive the owner or lessee thereof of\n\nsaid crude oil, gas, gasoline, or any product thereof, machinery,\n\ndrilling mud, equipment or other materials necessary for the\n\ndrilling or production of oil or gas wells shall:\n\n1. Be guilty of a misdemeanor if the value of said product so\n\ntaken is less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), and upon\n\nconviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than\n\nFive Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the county\n\njail for a term not to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both such fine\n\nand imprisonment;\n\n2. Be guilty of a Class C2 felony offense if the value of such\n\nproduct so taken is One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or more and\n\nupon conviction thereof, shall be punished by forfeiture of the\n\ninstrumentality of the crime and by a fine of not less than One\n\nHundred Dollars ($100.00), and not more than Fifty Thousand Dollars\n\n($50,000.00), or by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for a\n\nterm in the range of one (1) year to ten (10) years, or by both such\n\nfine and imprisonment.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b64d87d015a29bbc04dde003d740d3c2cbb97ed282bd23a860e274f0a3174fbf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1721","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1723"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
