Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1742.1","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. “Telephone record” means information retained by a telephone\n\ncompany that relates to the telephone number dialed by the customer\n\nor any other person using the telephone of the customer with the\n\npermission of the customer, or the incoming number of a call\n\ndirected to a customer or any other person using the telephone of\n\nthe customer with the permission of the customer, or other data\n\nrelated to such calls typically contained on a customer telephone\n\nbill such as the time the call started and ended, the duration of\n\nthe call, the time of day the call was made, and any charges\n\napplied. For purposes of this act, any information collected and\n\nretained by or on behalf of a customer utilizing a Caller I.D. or\n\nequivalent service, or other similar technology, does not constitute\n\na telephone record;\n\n2. “Telephone company” means any person that provides\n\ncommercial telephone services to a customer, irrespective of the\n\ncommunications technology used to provide such service including,\n\nbut not limited to, traditional wireline or cable telephone service;\n\ncellular, broadband PCS, or other wireless telephone service;\n\nmicrowave, satellite, or other terrestrial telephone service; and\n\nvoice over Internet telephone service;\n\n3. “Telephone” means any device used by a person for voice\n\ncommunications, in connection with the services of a telephone\n\ncompany, whether such voice communications are transmitted in\n\nanalog, data, or any other form;\n\n4. “Customer” means the person who subscribes to telephone\n\nservice from a telephone company or in whose name such telephone\n\nservice is listed;\n\n5. “Person” means any individual, partnership, corporation,\n\nlimited liability company, trust, estate, cooperative association,\n\nor other entity; and\n\n6. “Procure” in regard to such a telephone record means to\n\nobtain by any means, whether electronically, in writing, or in oral\n\nform, with or without consideration.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3dd6a9acb60340bc8129a0df01770b7f7175962acf51a1f9d789a9d1d6f037b1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1741","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1742.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
