No person using an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or drone,\n\nas defined by the Federal Aviation Administration, shall, except as\n\nauthorized by law:\n\n1. Trespass onto private property or into airspace within four\n\nhundred (400) feet above ground level with the intent to subject\n\nanyone to eavesdropping or other surveillance;\n\n2. Install on private property, without the consent of the\n\nowner or lessee, any device for observing, photographing, recording,\n\namplifying, or broadcasting sounds or events on such property, or\n\nuse any such unauthorized installation;\n\n3. Intentionally use a drone to photograph, record, or\n\notherwise observe another person in any place where the person has a\n\nreasonable expectation of privacy; or\n\n4. Intentionally land a drone on the lands or waters that are\n\nthe private property of another without the consent of the owner or\n\nlessee.\n\nB. A person who violates this act is guilty of a misdemeanor.\n\nParagraph 3 of subsection A of this section shall not apply to a\n\ndrone operator operating a drone for a bona fide business or bona\n\nfide government purpose who unintentionally or incidentally\n\nphotographs, records, or otherwise observes another person in a\n\nprivate place, nor shall it apply to a designated emergency\n\nmanagement worker or government employee or contractor operating a\n\ndrone within the scope of his or her lawful duties of employment.\n\nParagraph 4 of subsection A of this section shall not apply to the\n\nlanding of a drone required in the interest of safety or otherwise\n\nin an emergency such as to avoid collision with a person or\n\nproperty.","path":["OK Code","Title 21"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os21.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"88eed430ec5a2fdfef98c85aa320e5cf2cbd28a88e8d3cf45b7f8806addfb27f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-1742.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-21-21-175"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
