Stat. tit. 21, § 21-1831","heading":"Taking or injuring saw logs","body":"Any person who shall willfully and without authority take any\n\nsaw logs that may be on any river or on the land adjoining or near a\n\nriver, which may have floated down said river, or onto said land,\n\nand shall remove or attempt to remove the same, or who shall cut or\n\nsplit such logs or otherwise destroy or injure them, shall be deemed\n\nguilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, where the value of the\n\nlogs exceeds One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), be punished by\n\nimprisonment not more than one (1) year nor less than three (3)\n\nmonths, and by fine not to exceed One Hundred and not less than Ten\n\nDollars ($10.00); and where the value of the logs is One Hundred\n\nDollars ($100.00) or less, the punishment shall be by fine not\n\nexceeding Eighty and not less than Twenty Dollars ($20.00).
