Stat. tit. 21, § 21-266","heading":"Asking or receiving bribes","body":"Any executive officer or person elected or appointed to\n\nexecutive office who asks, receives or agrees to receive any bribe\n\nupon any agreement or understanding that his vote, opinion or action\n\nupon any matter then pending, or which may by law be brought before\n\nhim in his official capacity, shall be influenced thereby, shall be\n\nguilty of a Class C2 felony offense punishable by imprisonment as\n\nprovided for in subsections B through F of Section 20M of this\n\ntitle, or by a fine not exceeding Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00),\n\nor both; and in addition thereto, any such person forfeits office\n\nand is forever disqualified from holding any public office under the\n\nlaws of the state.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2149.
